Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • prior housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred
  • ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift up to 35 lbs for clinical staff or 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
  • ability to see, speak, and hear
  • availability to work full-time evening shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
  • willingness to complete annual hospital training for sterile processing
  • ability to follow safety protocols and cleaning standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • prior work experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
  • ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
  • customer service skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • willingness to complete hospital-provided training and continuing education

Job Duties

  • perform daily cleaning tasks for patient and resident rooms
  • nursing stations
  • lounges
  • restrooms
  • offices
  • clinic areas
  • follow assigned cleaning schedules and protocols
  • remove trash according to hospital guidelines
  • clean restrooms in public and patient areas including showers
  • perform various types of cleaning including daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning
  • ensure compliance with hospital health and safety standards
  • participate in continuing education on sterile processing and cleaning techniques
