Job Description
This job operates in a health care setting, providing critical housekeeping support to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for guests, patients, and staff. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of infection control practices
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols
Job Qualifications

- Prior experience in a housekeeping or janitorial role preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and operate equipment

Job Duties
- Cleans and sanitizes guest rooms, offices, hallways and other areas inside the facility as well as outside and the entire property
- Operates mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers and related housekeeping equipment
- Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder
- Performs terminal cleaning procedures of guest rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants
- follows isolations procedures when cleaning isolation rooms
- Assure that established infection control and prevention practices and standard precautions are maintained at all times
- Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies
- Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, accidents/incidents and supply issues to the supervisor
