Job Description

This job operates in a health care setting, providing critical housekeeping support to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for guests, patients, and staff. The establishment values safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency to ensure a pleasant and healthy atmosphere throughout the facility. This role involves routine cleaning duties both indoors in guest care areas as well as outdoors, often under varying weather conditions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a housekeeping or janitorial role preferred
  • Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and operate equipment
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Cleans and sanitizes guest rooms, offices, hallways and other areas inside the facility as well as outside and the entire property
  • Operates mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers and related housekeeping equipment
  • Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder
  • Performs terminal cleaning procedures of guest rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants
  • follows isolations procedures when cleaning isolation rooms
  • Assure that established infection control and prevention practices and standard precautions are maintained at all times
  • Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies
  • Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, accidents/incidents and supply issues to the supervisor
