Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- Ability to follow established departmental policies and procedures
- Capacity to maintain cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including moving furniture
- Ability to work evening shifts
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training
- Compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Job Qualifications

- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment

Job Duties
- Maintains all areas according to departmental standards
- Ensures proper infection control procedures when processing linen, trash, and medical waste
- Demonstrates awareness of PI Program, Excellence in action, Competencies, Mission & Vision of PRMC
- Dusts furniture, woodwork, and equipment
- Mops floors and polishes fixtures in all areas
- Operates housekeeping mechanical equipment
- Moves furniture to facilitate cleaning procedures
- Buffs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors
- Removes waste and soiled linens from work area following proper protocols
- Performs cleaning procedures of patient rooms including isolation rooms
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings
