Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • dependable and able to work flexible hours
  • able to follow safety procedures and emergency protocols
  • willingness to live and work on a ship for the duration of the contract

Job Qualifications

  • must be at least 18 years old
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • able to work minimum 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods
  • pass pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
  • adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • willing to abstain from alcohol consumption while onboard
  • possess a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties

  • create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
  • prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
  • acknowledge guests by name and respond to housekeeping inquiries and service requests
  • vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
  • clean spills promptly and notify managers of maintenance needs
  • collect and dispose of trash
  • clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • build genuine relationships with guests and cater to housekeeping requests efficiently
  • assist during guest embarkation and special events such as afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
