Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
- strong attention to detail
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- dependable and able to work flexible hours
- able to follow safety procedures and emergency protocols
- willingness to live and work on a ship for the duration of the contract
Job Qualifications
- must be at least 18 years old
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- able to work minimum 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods
- pass pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
- adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- willing to abstain from alcohol consumption while onboard
- possess a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Job Duties
- create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
- prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
- acknowledge guests by name and respond to housekeeping inquiries and service requests
- vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
- clean spills promptly and notify managers of maintenance needs
- collect and dispose of trash
- clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- build genuine relationships with guests and cater to housekeeping requests efficiently
- assist during guest embarkation and special events such as afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
