Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • one to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders, and access various areas of the property
  • may be required to push or pull items and reach overhead
  • may be required to bend, stoop or kneel
  • must have dexterity of hands and fingers and ability to grasp tools
  • must be able to see to perform inspections and read computer screens
  • must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • may occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally heavier items with assistance
  • must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • work based on site with exposure to outdoor elements
  • may require working in confined spaces, heights and potentially hazardous areas

Job Qualifications

  • physical ability to perform cleaning, lifting, and maintenance tasks

Job Duties

  • Perform regular custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
  • complete grounds work such as picking up trash, cleaning dumpster areas, trash rooms and chutes, blowing parking areas and sidewalks, removing debris, and power washing
  • thoroughly clean breezeways including removal of cobwebs, bugs in lights, mopping floors, power washing, and wiping down doors and handrails
  • collaborate with maintenance team members, other departments, and external contractors to ensure seamless property maintenance
  • assess property safety and cleanliness standards ensuring compliance with regulations
  • maintain property condition by delivering notices to apartments and performing interior and exterior painting tasks
