Job Requirements
- Housekeeping experience in health care or commercial setting preferred
- current and valid 2 step TB clearance and health review, which can be completed in-house
- ability to adhere to infection control and safety guidelines
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and bending
- reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or commercial setting preferred
- knowledge of infection control standards
- ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- strong attention to detail
- effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Ensures a clean, orderly, and safe place for residents and staff throughout the facility
- follows infection control standards when collecting dirty linen and handling resident laundry
- cleans and maintains resident rooms, common areas, and nursing stations
- disposes of waste properly and maintains sanitary condition of cleaning equipment
- reports any facility safety hazards or maintenance issues
- collaborates with healthcare staff to meet specific resident hygiene needs
- maintains adequate supplies of cleaning materials and notifies management when replenishment is necessary
