- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance
- experience in the use of floor-care equipment

Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis in accordance with facility protocols
- use proper chemicals in proper portions and perform dust mopping, wet mopping, or spot-mopping of floors
- empty trash containers, replace liners as appropriate, and dispose of trash in proper receptacles
- vacuum carpets as directed by supervisor
- utilize proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows
- report repair needs to supervisor or maintenance department
- request needed supplies and equipment from supervisor
- identify and correct safety hazards and abide by safety rules
- attend weekly in-services, understand and comply with patient care management systems
- assure patient/resident safety
- perform other duties and tasks as assigned
