Job Requirements
- must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or GED
- must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment
- must maintain the utmost compassion and dignity towards residents
- must adhere to Resident Bill of Rights
- must comply with standards of business conduct and health regulations
- must adhere to attendance policies
- must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test
- must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress
- must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics to function adequately
- must meet general health requirements set by the facility including medical and physical examination
- must relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and occasionally agitated residents
- must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight for a minimum distance of 50 feet
- must assist in resident evacuation during emergencies if necessary

Job Duties
- complete assigned work tasks to maintain the community's clean, safe, and orderly condition while providing a pleasant environment for residents as directed by the supervisor and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- daily dusting and waxing of furniture in each assigned room
- daily vacuuming of assigned areas
- daily cleaning of bathrooms in assigned rooms including sink, tub, and toilet
- change the supply of paper goods in each resident's bathroom and replenish toilet tissue, facial tissue, and soap when needed
- empty wastebaskets in assigned rooms each day
- observe condition of rooms and report anything in need of repair to maintenance such as light bulbs
- check for food in rooms not in sealed containers and dispose of if necessary
- check for unsecured throw rugs and extension cords
- be responsible for the cleanliness of all resident rooms
- sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, buff, general cleaning, window cleaning, floor care, furniture cleaning, and maintaining all public areas
- daily cleaning of public bathrooms and emptying of trash receptacles
- perform other duties as requested
