Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred
- availability to work extended shifts for 28 weeks
- physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing and walking
- willingness to comply with company policies including pre-employment drug testing
- must be able to effectively communicate in English
- commitment to uphold safety protocols and participate in all required training
- no consumption of alcohol while onboard ship
- ability to provide excellent guest service consistently
Job Qualifications
- must be at least eighteen years of age
- must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
- able to pass pre-employment drug testing including testing for marijuana and controlled substances
- willing to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
- ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure
- ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
Job Duties
- create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
- prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
- acknowledge guests by name and respond to housekeeping inquiries and service requests
- vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
- clean spills and notify managers of maintenance needs
- collect and dispose of trash
- clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- build genuine relationships with guests and efficiently cater to housekeeping requests
- assist with guest greetings on embarkation and support special events such as afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
