Job Description

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in cleaning or related field
  • Ability to understand English language instructions
  • Manual dexterity for equipment operation
  • Ability to perform essential job functions during an eight-hour shift
  • Willingness to learn and perform tasks accurately with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, reach overhead, lift 50 lbs, and stand or walk for entire shift
  • Ability to work in varying conditions including hot, cold, dusty and noisy environments
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to respond to supervisory staff
  • Flexible to meet occupants’ needs during the day

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Up to 2 years of related experience
  • Ability to read and understand English instructions and safety data
  • Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks throughout the workday

Job Duties

  • Perform trash removal, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping, cleaning and disinfection of restrooms and shower rooms
  • Clean windows, baseboards, trim and stairways
  • Pick up and change linen of residential community and guest rooms
  • Submit requests for or obtain stock supplies from storage
  • Maintain cleanliness of faculty and staff offices, common meeting rooms, hallways and classrooms
  • Operate maintenance and floor care equipment safely
  • Adapt to task changes as needs arise throughout the day
