Job Requirements
- Ability to work four 8.5-hour days per week with paid lunch included
- Willingness to adhere to community policies and safety regulations
- Must be able to build respectful relationships with residents and staff
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and supplies safely
- Flexibility to perform occasional special tasks or assist with community events
- COVID-19 vaccination encouraged but not required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and safety procedures
- Commitment to maintaining respect and dignity for senior residents
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms and common areas to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
- Follow established protocols for handling cleaning supplies and equipment
- Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by providing courteous service
- Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to appropriate personnel
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and efficient housekeeping operations
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards within the community
- Assist with special cleaning projects and event preparations as needed
