Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one year related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and associates
  • ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures
  • compliance with attendance and dress code policies
  • must be able to work part-time hours specified
  • willingness to respond to emergency situations
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
  • ability to perform assigned cleaning and support duties safely

Job Duties

  • Follow established cleaning schedule
  • complete daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas
  • follow schedule for deep cleaning of resident rooms
  • clean administrative offices as scheduled
  • clean and sanitize bathrooms
  • clean carpets and mop floors upon request
  • maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents
  • ensure a dignified and caring atmosphere
  • respond promptly and courteously to requests
  • interact with residents showing empathy and respect
  • communicate effectively with residents
  • maintain safe working environment
  • practice good body mechanics and safe habits
  • observe and report safety hazards
  • provide assistance to associates
  • follow emergency policies
  • remain during emergencies until released
  • work as a team player
  • demonstrate positive attitude
  • comply with attendance policies
  • attend trainings and meetings
  • wear appropriate dress
  • maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
  • provide hands-on assistance to nursing staff
  • participate in resident leisure activities
  • serve and assist residents in dining
  • undertake special projects
