Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must pass a drug test and participate in health screenings
- Compliance with vaccination mandates as applicable
- Ability to maintain privacy and respect resident dignity
- Physical capability to perform cleaning and laundry tasks
- Willingness to attend regular training and team meetings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience providing housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
- Desire and aptitude to work with seniors
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work semi-independently and follow community procedures
- Capacity to handle interruptions and multiple priorities
- Willingness to participate in training and team activities
Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, sanitizing fixtures, and polishing surfaces
- Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms and bathrooms
- Maintain equipment and supplies in clean, orderly condition
- Transport clean and soiled linens to appropriate areas
- Collect and dispose of trash maintaining cleanliness of receptacles
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens
- Inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
- Maintain commercial laundry area cleanliness and order
- Assist Care Managers with resident care when requested
- Practice positive resident relations and address resident requests
- Document and learn about resident physical and behavioral changes
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored safely and hazards are minimized
- Follow safety procedures including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, and infection control techniques
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Contribute to achieving team goals and uphold the Team Member Credo
- Perform other duties as assigned
