Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests courteously
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness standards and follow company protocols
  • Flexibility to work long shifts and weekends
  • Physical stamina for demanding tasks
  • Willingness to learn and perform safety and emergency duties aboard ship
  • Compliance with company grooming and appearance standards

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Willing to adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug testing including testing for marijuana and other substances
  • Willing to comply with federal and company safety and alcohol consumption policies
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality service

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
  • Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company service standards
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
  • Carefully clean up spills with appropriate equipment and notify managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Create genuine relationships with guests and cater to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
  • Perform other functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and helping during special events including afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
