Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to work rotating day shifts including every other weekend and holidays
- basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- willingness to adhere to safety standards and use personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- Less than 1 year of related experience preferred
- ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- willingness to work during scheduled shift hours including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Performs housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, changing water bucket or mop head, using wet floor signs, maintaining housekeeping cart and closet, replenishing supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, cleaning tile walls, windows, and glass doors, ensuring chemicals are locked up
- cleans public areas, resident rooms, and restrooms including cleaning drinking fountains with disinfectant, replenishing supplies, vacuuming carpets, emptying and washing waste baskets with disinfectant as needed, assisting with emergency spills, maintaining clean linen carts, wearing gloves at all times, assisting with grounds cleanup when requested
- performs other duties as assigned including room changes, cleaning wheel chairs, assisting with special events
