Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Basic knowledge of sanitation and food safety procedures
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and bending
Availability to work part-time hours as scheduled

Job Qualifications

Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
Effective communication in English with employees and residents
General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
Ability to retain orders up to four at one time
Strong organization and time management skills
Basic computer skills

Job Duties

Provide general housekeeping for both the community as a whole and individual resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning main entryway, common areas, dining rooms, hallways, patios, and apartments
Clean and defrost refrigerators as needed, check and clean heat system filters, change beds and linens, ensure adequate linen supplies, turn mattresses with assistance, and empty waste baskets in resident apartments
Perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
Launder linens by washing and drying in provided laundry facilities
Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
Greet residents and guests at tables with a smile, serve beverages, cereals, soups, and salads from a cart
Review menus courteously, take resident orders, serve meals and desserts, return carts to the kitchen, assist with perishable item storage, and deliver trays as needed
Bus and clear dishes after meals, reset tables, vacuum carpets, and complete side work such as replenishing sugar holders, cleaning coffeemaker
Perform other duties as needed or assigned
