Job Requirements
- Housekeeping experience required
- experience handling infectious waste and chemicals safely
- acute healthcare work experience with heavy cleaning equipment
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience utilizing basic housekeeping practices and procedures
- knowledge of proper handling and disposal of infectious waste
- proper safety skills in handling housekeeping chemicals
- acute healthcare work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffer extractors, wide area vacuums, and wet vacuums
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas
- follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
- collect and dispose of waste, biohazardous waste and linens
- stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas
- respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff
- operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment
