Job Description
This position is part of a dedicated Environmental Services Department within a healthcare or similar facility, focused on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout patient and resident areas, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and clinic locations. The department plays a critical role in supporting patient care by ensuring that the environment is safe, sanitary, and welcoming. Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
 - prior work experience in housekeeping or related field beneficial
 - ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak, and hear
 - able to lift up to 35 lbs for clinical staff and 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
 - must use assisted-lift device or assistance for lifting over weight limits
 - capable of performing essential cleaning duties satisfactorily
 - willing to comply with safety and hygiene standards
 
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
 - prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services a plus
 - knowledge of customer service skills
 - understanding of cleaning protocols for healthcare environments
 - ability to perform various types of cleaning
 - familiarity with office cleaning practices
 
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks for patient and resident rooms
 - clean nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and clinic areas
 - follow trash removal processes
 - conduct different types of cleaning including daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning
 - clean restrooms in public areas and patient rooms including showers
 - maintain cleanliness in office spaces
 - adhere to safety guidelines and use of assisted-lift devices for heavy lifting
