Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening including testing for controlled substances
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must adhere to company grooming and conduct standards
- Ability to work aboard a ship for the entire 28-week period
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- At least eighteen years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work minimum 12 hours per day, seven days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Ability to adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Ability to work in a temporary, seasonal position
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to comply with federal pre-employment drug testing
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and conscientious service environment
Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company service standards
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Creating genuine relationships with guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
- Performing additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
