Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or related experience preferred
- Ability to use cleaning machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of infection control standards
- Ability to follow safety guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties including climbing ladders

Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, offices, hallways, and other facility areas including outside property
- Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers, and related housekeeping equipment
- Clean vents, fan fixtures, window tops, doorframes, and other high areas using a ladder
- Perform terminal cleaning procedures for guest rooms and prepare rooms for new occupants following isolation protocols
- Maintain infection control and standard precaution practices at all times
- Follow safety precautions when using equipment and supplies
- Report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues to the supervisor
- Maintain comfort, privacy, and dignity of guests and interact warmly and respectfully
- Respond promptly and courteously to call lights in guest care areas
- Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and transfer of guests within the facility
- Assist in training new staff
- Communicate effectively and tactfully with guests, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed
