Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Institutional housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to demonstrate correct use of work-related chemicals, supplies, tools and equipment
- Ability to collaborate with others in order to provide optimal customer service
- Ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 65lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work from a ladder
- Ability to push and move equipment and furniture
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with required equipment

Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas using standard cleaning supplies and disinfectants to high standards of cleanliness and disinfecting
- Sanitize room contents for terminal cleaning upon resident discharge
- Clean apartments in Senior or Assisted Living settings after resident move or renovations and report maintenance needs
- Move or relocate furniture, furnishings and equipment upon resident room changes, discharge or move out
- Set up and break down rooms for meetings, banquets and classes
- Care for hard surface floors including dust mopping and damp mopping with proper safety signage
- Spot clean soil on carpets, entry mats, runners and upholstered furniture as needed
- Pick up and remove trash in assigned areas
- Maintain department equipment in a clean, safe condition and perform nominal maintenance
- Communicate with clinical and non-clinical staff regarding daily tasks and resident status
- Complete cleaning assignments timely and in accordance with housekeeping procedures
