Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in housekeeping in a health care or hospitality service preferred
Ability to work day shifts
Ability to perform strenuous physical work including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
Must follow safety and infection control procedures
Must maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information
Must maintain professional appearance in uniform

Job Qualifications

Must possess interpersonal skills to communicate with residents, families, visitors and staff
Must have knowledge of housekeeping procedures and practices
Must be able to work independently and prioritize workload
Must be able to read and understand directions on cleaning solutions and equipment
Must be knowledgeable of the location of MSDS sheets and guidelines
Must have compassion and care for the elderly
Demonstrates a servant heart and attitude by following the mission statement

Job Duties

Cleans and sanitizes residents' apartments and common areas
Replaces and restocks toilet tissue, paper towels and facial tissue
Deep cleans apartments and common areas as assigned
Shampoos carpets and furniture, washes windows and screens as assigned
Responds to residents' cleaning needs in a positive, timely and respectful manner
Prepares apartment for move-in by ensuring it is clean and welcoming
Cleans up after accidents in a timely, efficient manner while maintaining dignity of the resident
