Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day
- Able to work 7 days a week
- Able to work up to 28 weeks onboard
- Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Must pass pre-employment drug test including testing for Marijuana and other controlled substances
- No consumption of alcohol allowed while onboard
- Comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- This is a temporary employment position not to extend beyond 28 weeks of shipboard work
Job Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills to build genuine relationships with guests
- Ability to follow company grooming standards and safety protocols
- No prior hospitality experience required as this is an introductory position
Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines' service standards
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Creating genuine relationships with guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
- Performing additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
