Job Requirements
- Minimum age of eighteen years
- Valid American citizenship or Green Card status
- Ability to commit to 28 weeks of temporary shipboard work
- Capacity to work long hours daily including weekends
- Undergoing pre-employment drug testing
- Compliance with company grooming standards
- Abstinence from alcohol consumption while on duty
- Completion of safety and emergency training
- Physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting and prolonged standing
- Temporary employment not exceeding 28 weeks
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Strong customer service skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to adhere to grooming standards and company policies
Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and respond kindly to all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company standards
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linens and supplies
- Cleaning spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of maintenance needs
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Creating genuine relationships with guests and catering to housekeeping requests efficiently
- Assisting with greeting guests upon embarkation and supporting special events such as afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
