Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Must be American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Able to work 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
  • Able to lift, bend, climb and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and controlled substances
  • Consumption of alcohol strictly prohibited on board
  • Must comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Temporary employment position limited to 28 weeks
  • Ability to perform emergency and safety functions as part of training

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Willingness and ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, seven days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous hospitality or housekeeping experience is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests
  • Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines’ service standards
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
  • Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • Collecting and disposing of trash
  • Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
  • Performing additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
