Job Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to company policies
- Must commit to the full 28-week seasonal assignment
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must adhere to company grooming and conduct standards
- Flexible to work various shifts including weekends
- Willingness to work onboard a cruise ship in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug testing
- Adherence to grooming standards including limits on visible tattoos and piercings
- Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude under pressure
Job Duties
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
- Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
- Acknowledge guests by name and handle housekeeping-related inquiries and requests according to service standards
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
- Clean up spills and notify management of maintenance needs
- Collect and dispose of trash
- Properly clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Build genuine relationships with guests and efficiently cater to housekeeping requests
- Assist with guest greetings upon embarkation and support special events such as afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
