Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work onboard a cruise ship for temporary employment
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
- Compliance with Federal Law and Department of Transportation drug testing
- No alcohol consumption during employment
- Flexibility to perform additional duties such as guest greeting and event assistance
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Moderate physical fitness including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Willingness to follow grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Commitment to safety and emergency training
Job Duties
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
- Acknowledging guests by name and addressing housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- Cleaning spills carefully and reporting maintenance needs
- Collecting and disposing of trash
