Job Requirements
- Temporary employment for 28 weeks
- ability to adhere to a strict no alcohol policy while on board
- capable of completing emergency and safety training essential for ship operation
- compliant with company grooming standards
- able to maintain composure and professional demeanor
- able to interact respectfully and warmly with guests
- physically capable of moderate labor demands
- authorization to work in the U.S.
- willingness to travel to assigned vessel
Job Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week
- capable of meeting moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- able to pass a pre-employment drug test including for marijuana
- willing to comply with ship grooming standards regarding tattoos and piercings
- possess a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Job Duties
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
- prioritize the cleanliness and comfort of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
- acknowledge guests by name and promptly address housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests
- vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
- clean up spills carefully and notify managers of maintenance needs
- collect and dispose of trash
- properly clean upholstered furniture and lounge areas
- build genuine relationships with guests and fulfill housekeeping requests efficiently
- greet guests during embarkation and assist during special events such as afternoon tea and cocktail parties
