Job Requirements

High school diploma preferred
Ability to read, write legibly, communicate and understand English
Knowledge of basic housekeeping practices and procedures
Experience in proper handling of infectious waste

Job Duties

Provide routine cleaning of hospital units, offices, surgery units, doctors' offices, restrooms, and public areas
Perform floor care including carpet and hard floor cleaning and maintenance such as stripping, refinishing, bonneting, and extracting
Conduct patient room cleaning as required
Handle infectious waste properly according to hospital protocols
Maintain cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
Communicate effectively in English to follow instructions and coordinate with team members
Follow all hospital policies and safety guidelines relating to housekeeping
