Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles
- ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties
- excellent communication skills
- ability to manage time effectively
- ability to work independently and in a team
- willingness to work rotating shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a healthcare or long-term care facility preferred
- ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- good physical stamina and ability to perform cleaning tasks
- strong communication skills
- positive attitude and customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Maintain all public and common areas including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors
- maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms
- keep handrails clean and free of debris
- clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers
- empty trash cans and replace liners
- sweep and mop floors
- utilize proper safety measures when cleaning including using caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of residents
- use supplies and equipment safely by following user manual instructions
- maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner
- notify Director of Housekeeping or other management regarding resident safety issues or concerns
- notify Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishing
- demonstrate excellent customer skills and a positive attitude
- demonstrate excellent time-management skills
- ability to work independently or with a team
