Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles
ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
physical ability to perform cleaning duties
excellent communication skills
ability to manage time effectively
ability to work independently and in a team
willingness to work rotating shifts

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a healthcare or long-term care facility preferred
ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
good physical stamina and ability to perform cleaning tasks
strong communication skills
positive attitude and customer service orientation

Job Duties

Maintain all public and common areas including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors
maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms
keep handrails clean and free of debris
clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers
empty trash cans and replace liners
sweep and mop floors
utilize proper safety measures when cleaning including using caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of residents
use supplies and equipment safely by following user manual instructions
maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner
notify Director of Housekeeping or other management regarding resident safety issues or concerns
notify Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishing
demonstrate excellent customer skills and a positive attitude
demonstrate excellent time-management skills
ability to work independently or with a team
