Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, strip, wash and shampoo floor surfaces
- clean and dust furniture, closets, telephone areas and vents
- scour, polish and sanitize sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces and waste receptacles
- empty waste receptacles and clean solid waste containers
- transport medical waste to outside storeroom as directed
- use room deodorizer as necessary
- ensure paper supplies are always available
- wash windows and walls, which may involve removing draperies and rugs as directed
- gather and return needed cleaning supplies and equipment daily to support rooms as directed
- follow OSHA standards for handling infectious waste
