Job Requirements
- Ability to work full-time during 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Availability to work every other weekend and holidays
- Reliable and punctual
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and bending
- Willingness to use personal protective equipment
- Ability to comply with facility policies and procedures
- Pass any required background checks and health screenings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining resident privacy and dignity
Job Duties
- Clean assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to facility policy while maintaining resident's privacy at all times
- Wash beds and mattresses and remake beds after discharge of residents
- Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition
- Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies
- Post signs indicating a safety hazard anytime housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards
- Dust furniture, handrails, and equipment
- Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork
- Wash windows, door panels, and sills
- Empty wastebaskets, including biohazardous waste, in accordance with facility procedures
- Transport trash and waste to disposal area
- Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or hazardous body fluids
- Comply with safety instructions and procedures when using chemical substances
- Monitor workplace for safety and fire hazards and report potential problems
- Participate in fire and disaster drills and carry out assigned duties to assure resident safety in emergencies
