Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification
- Previous work experience
- Ability to follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
- Flexibility to work varied shifts
- Strong attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and supervisors
- Adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality laws
- Completion of required trainings within set timeframes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED

- Some college education preferred
- Previous work experience required
- One to three months related experience or training preferred
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Good communication skills

- Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Job Duties
- Performs routine cleaning of hospital areas including patient rooms, offices, clinical areas, restrooms, corridors, and common spaces
- Washes windows, walls, floors, beds, and furniture upon patient discharge
- Applies clean linen on disinfected patient beds
- Utilizes appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
- Uses and maintains equipment properly
- Transports trash and hazardous waste to designated disposal areas
- Replenishes cleaning and hygiene supplies
- Reports furniture, equipment, or building repairs to supervisor
- Follows infection prevention and control practices including handwashing and isolation precautions
- Maintains quality standards and completes work assignments timely
- Participates in safety programs and quality initiatives
- Communicates hazards and safety concerns
- Works cooperatively with staff and management
- Demonstrates professionalism and confidentiality in all duties
