Job Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and able to bend, stoop, and lift
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate industrial laundry and cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
  • Must report to work on time and in proper uniform
  • Flexible to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Must be physically fit and able to bend, stoop, and lift
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Experience working with industrial laundry and cleaning equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use
  • Good communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
  • Basic understanding of hotel operations desirable

Job Duties

  • Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
  • Proceed to the laundry area to pick up your assigned cart and necessary supplies
  • Avoid making excessive noise in guest room areas
  • Prioritize cleaning check-out rooms first unless special request is made
  • Report all rooms listed as do not disturb to a superior for approval
  • Change sheets in every room daily unless specified otherwise
  • Continue cleaning room to room observing all do not disturb signs
  • Clean rooms according to established procedures
  • Sign out and sign in keys at shift start and end respectively
  • Return cart to linen room at the end of the shift
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by management
  • Be flexible regarding work schedules
  • Report to work on time in proper uniform including name tag
  • Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and changes
  • Understand and actively work to achieve guest service score goals
  • Handle duties according to hotel policies and rules
  • Know and act on all emergency procedures
  • Report unusual occurrences or requests to the manager
  • Assist fellow associates when needed to improve hotel operations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if applicable
