Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Capability to follow sanitation and safety procedures
- Ability to handle physical tasks including cleaning and moving furniture
- Flexibility to work varying shifts
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Effective English communication skills with employees and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to multitask and retain up to four orders at one time
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for both the Community and individual resident apartments including vacuuming and dusting
- Clean main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments
- Clean and defrost refrigerators as needed, check heat system filters, change bed linens, and maintain linen supplies in apartments
- Turn mattresses with assistance and empty waste baskets
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
- Launder all linens using provided laundry facilities
- Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- Greet residents and guests at tables to serve beverages, cereals, soups, and salads
- Review menus, take resident orders clearly and courteously, serve meals and desserts
- Return serving cart to kitchen and assist with storage of perishable items
- Deliver trays to resident rooms as needed
- Bus tables, clear dishes, sanitize tables and chairs following food service guidelines
- Vacuum carpets in dining areas
- Complete side work including replenishing sugar holders, creamers, and cleaning coffeemaker
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed
