Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous institutional housekeeping experience preferred
- prior experience working in a long-term care facility a plus
- able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required

Job Duties
- Gathers and disposes of trash ensuring plastic liners are in containers at all times
- vacuums, dust/wet mops, and sanitizes floors daily
- empties trash bins and maintains a clean environment surrounding the dumpster
- cleans walls, ceilings, windows, stairwells, hallways, metal fixtures, light fixtures, tops of windows, doorframes, and other high places using a step ladder if necessary
- hangs draperies, privacy curtains, etc. as necessary
- keeps utility room and housekeeping closets in order and sanitized
- follows established sanitation and safety standards
- performs other duties as assigned
