Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Preferred age of 21 for driving purposes
  • Preferred valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and 5 years of driving experience
  • Must pass a criminal background check acceptable to GSCO standards
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred high school diploma or GED or working towards these
  • Preferred experience in housekeeping
  • Proficient understanding of sanitation and workplace safety regulations
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment
  • Ability to interpret SDS sheets
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Ability to maintain discretion and respect privacy
  • Consistent work to the highest standards
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently

Job Duties

  • Clean and disinfect all camp areas, vehicles, and equipment daily
  • Maintain camp facilities in a clean and ready-to-use condition
  • Follow GSCO cleaning and disinfecting protocols
  • Complete daily cleanliness check logs for all camp areas
  • Create and adhere to cleaning schedules for camp areas
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, showers, bathroom countertops, sinks, fixtures, railings, door handles, tables, chairs, and program areas
  • Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen and laundry facilities
  • Vacuum and clean carpets and rugs
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop hard floors
  • Sort, wash, load, fold, and unload laundry
  • Restock bathrooms with necessary supplies
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste
  • Assist with general upkeep of camp areas
  • Support setup and cleanup of dining hall procedures
  • Inspect used spaces and document insufficiencies
  • Use safe practices according to camp procedures
  • Encourage good hygiene among camp residents and visitors
  • Participate in emergency procedure rehearsals
  • Implement health risk and security procedures
  • Maintain and store equipment properly and report repairs
  • Help with continuous stocking of equipment and inventory
  • Adhere to all safety and security procedures
  • Participate in training, staff meetings, and evaluations
  • Manage timecards
  • Interact with digital systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
