Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of related experience or training preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Availability to work full-time hours
- Prior housekeeping experience is a plus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Clean all areas as assigned according to departmental standards, process, and procedures
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas following established standards and proper cleaning techniques
- Make independent decisions and follow instructions
- Interact tactfully with associates, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public
- Follow written and oral instructions for mixing cleaning compounds, liquids, and disinfecting solutions
- Report information concerning a resident's condition
- Use supplies economically and report supply and equipment needs to supervisor
- Operate buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums and all commercial laundry equipment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Housekeeping Lead
