Job Requirements
- High school level education or equivalent
- ability to work full-time in a physically demanding environment
- capability to stand and walk constantly and lift and handle materials exceeding 50 pounds
- willingness to wear personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols
- flexibility to work second shift, including nights and weekends
- ability to operate heavy machinery such as trash compactors or lift trucks safely
- good communication skills for reading and writing safety instructions and team collaboration
Job Qualifications
- Reading and writing comprehension, computer and material skills typically associated with a high school level education
- quality orientation and high attention to detail
- able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
- strong teamwork skills ready and willing to work closely with team members
- open to and able to work day or night shifts, and willing to rotate shifts depending on production need
- open to long hours and working weekends
- high school diploma preferred
- prior experience working in a plant environment preferred
- bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the plant
- sweep, mop, blow-down all working surfaces including floors, walls, and mezzanines
- clean, sanitize, and disinfect break rooms and rest rooms
- dust and clean the facility of debris as needed
- clean machines and safely dispose of oil or other bio-hazardous material
- uphold and promote safe and appropriate chemical management including using provided personal protective gear at all times and refilling personal protective equipment dispensers throughout the facility
- move empty chemical containers from interior to exterior of plant
- compile empty linen boxes, cardboard, pallets and other materials and dispose in the appropriate location
- refill sanitizer dispensers throughout the facility
- sweeping and blowing under machines between shifts and outside area of the plant
- use blower to clean lint from the roof of the plant, sweep together and bag for disposal
- perform other tasks as assigned by manager
