Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Able to perform moderate to heavy physical effort for up to 95% of the shift
  • Ability to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and stretch repeatedly
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs independently
  • Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs over various surfaces
  • Ability to operate a vacuum and work in confined spaces
  • Willingness to maintain resident confidentiality
  • Must be exposed to communicable diseases and institutional cleaning chemicals
  • Positive attitude and team player

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Professional housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must work independently with little supervision

Job Duties

  • Provide a clean and safe environment our residents can be proud of
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in living units such as vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting all surfaces
  • Perform general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by the Director and the Environmental Services Supervisor
  • Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by the Director and the Environmental Services Supervisor
  • Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned
  • Maintain resident confidentiality at all times
