Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Able to perform moderate to heavy physical effort for up to 95% of the shift
- Ability to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and stretch repeatedly
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs independently
- Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs over various surfaces
- Ability to operate a vacuum and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to maintain resident confidentiality
- Must be exposed to communicable diseases and institutional cleaning chemicals
- Positive attitude and team player
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Professional housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license required
- Must work independently with little supervision
Job Duties
- Provide a clean and safe environment our residents can be proud of
- Perform general housekeeping duties in living units such as vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting all surfaces
- Perform general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by the Director and the Environmental Services Supervisor
- Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by the Director and the Environmental Services Supervisor
- Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition
- Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- Maintain resident confidentiality at all times
