Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred but not required
ability to understand and follow instructions
physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
effective communication skills
ability to work flexible hours including per-diem shifts
willingness to comply with infection control and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
ability to read, write and comprehend English
ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care highly valued but not required
compassionate and empathetic nature
ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
Dispose of trash and waste
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines and vacuums
