Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred but not required
- ability to understand and follow instructions
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- effective communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including per-diem shifts
- willingness to comply with infection control and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- ability to read, write and comprehend English
- ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care highly valued but not required
- compassionate and empathetic nature
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Dispose of trash and waste
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
- Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
- Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines and vacuums
