Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to follow safety procedures including personal protective equipment
- Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Willingness to participate in training and comply with regulatory requirements
- If driving a Sunrise vehicle, understanding and signing driver job description
- Pass pre-employment drug test and required health screenings
- Compliance with vaccination mandates as applicable

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting Sunrise’s quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning fixtures, dusting furniture, polishing surfaces
- Knock on resident and restroom doors before entering to respect privacy and safety
- Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linens to appropriate areas
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a sanitary manner
- Collect, wash, dry, fold, and redistribute community laundry following approved procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and tear, report damaged linens according to procedures
- Assist Care Managers with resident care when requested
- Respond to resident requests and document pertinent information in Daily Log
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored safely and cords or equipment do not block exits
- Comply with infection control policies and safety procedures including use of personal protective equipment
- Participate in team meetings, training, and contribute to team engagement and goals
- Perform other duties as assigned.
