Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED not required
- ability to read, write and understand the English language
- ability to follow simple oral and written directions
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
- ability to use cleaning equipment such as mops, buckets, cleaning solutions, vacuum cleaners, utility carts, floor cleaning machines, and wet/dry vacuums
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, talk, see and perform repetitive motions
- may include moving light furniture
- willingness to work in environments exposed to odors, medical wastes, disease and unsanitary conditions

Job Duties
- Monitor refrigerators and remove spoiled food
- follow principles of infection control and universal precautions
- clean blood and bodily fluids as needed
- observe and report pest control and environmental safety issues
- perform cleaning procedures after resident discharge or transfer
- assist new residents with move-in tasks like hanging clothing
- make beds and straighten residents' rooms
- clean hallways, stairways, and elevators as instructed
