Job Requirements
- must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent
- ability to perform housekeeping duties in accordance with federal, state, and local standards
- willingness to follow directions from the Administrator, Housekeeping Supervisor and Director of Environmental Services
- ability to maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the facility
- capacity to work full-time
- must be able to physically perform the job duties
- commitment to respecting veterans and their privacy
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and their safe use
- attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
- strong communication skills
- physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of all facility areas in compliance with federal and state regulations
- maintain all housekeeping equipment and supplies in good condition
- report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisors
- support the housekeeping department in adhering to infection control and safety protocols
- collaborate with team members to ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and comfortable
- assist in setting up rooms for new residents or special events
- comply with all organizational policies and procedures related to housekeeping
