Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing which includes marijuana and other controlled substances
  • Must adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Must agree to strict prohibition of alcohol consumption during employment
  • Must be able to perform emergency and safety functions essential to ship operation

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
  • Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company standards
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
  • Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • Collecting and disposing of trash
  • Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Creating genuine relationships with guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
  • Performing additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon teas and evening cocktail parties
