Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Institutional housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to demonstrate correct use of work-related chemicals, supplies, tools and equipment
- Ability to collaborate with others in order to provide optimal customer service
- Ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 65lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work from a ladder
- Ability to push and move equipment and furniture
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with required equipment

Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas using standard cleaning supplies and disinfectants
- Sanitize room contents for terminal cleaning upon resident discharge
- Clean apartments in Senior or Assisted Living settings after resident move or renovations
- Note maintenance needs and carpet damage and report to Housekeeping Supervision
- Move and relocate furniture, furnishings, and equipment for room changes or discharges
- Handle initial room setup and breakdown for meetings, banquets, and classes
- Care for hard surface floors and carpets including spot cleaning
- Pick up and remove trash in assigned areas
- Complete cleaning assignments timely and according to procedures
- Maintain department equipment clean and safe
- Perform nominal maintenance on cleaning equipment and remove unsafe equipment
- Meet safety and cleanliness guidelines 100 percent of the time
- Communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff
- Report changes in resident status to supervisor or clinical staff
- May be cross trained on multiple floors or neighborhoods
- Perform other duties as assigned
