Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
  • desire to work with seniors
  • ability to follow safety protocols including Personal Protective Equipment use
  • ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
  • physical capability to perform cleaning and laundry tasks
  • willingness to comply with all health and safety testing requirements
  • ability to attend training sessions
  • willingness to follow company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • perform scheduled cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
  • respect residents' privacy by knocking before entering rooms
  • maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • transport supplies including linens to appropriate storage and collection areas
  • collect and dispose of trash ensuring clean and sanitary receptacles
  • collect, clean, sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and redistribute community laundry following approved procedures
  • inspect linens for wear and report damaged items
  • assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
  • respond to resident requests and document pertinent information in daily logs
  • ensure cleaning chemicals are stored safely when not in use
  • maintain compliance with safety regulations and risk management policies including use of PPE and infection control techniques
  • participate in team meetings and engagement programs
  • maintain compliance with all required training and perform other duties as assigned
