Job Requirements

Housekeeping experience required, utilizing basic housekeeping practices and procedures, proper handling/disposal of infectious waste, and proper safety skills in handling housekeeping chemicals
acute healthcare work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffer extractors, wide area vacuums, and wet vacuums

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
housekeeping experience in a healthcare or hospital setting
knowledge of proper handling and disposal of infectious waste
ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment
understanding of safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals
strong attention to detail and organizational skills
ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas
follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
collect and dispose of waste, biohazardous waste and linens
stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas
respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff
operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment
