Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail
- flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- willingness to live and work aboard the ship for the duration of the contract
Job Qualifications
- must be at least eighteen years of age
- must be an American citizen or green card holder
- willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- able to pass pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
- able to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- able to perform emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship
- able to maintain composure and positive attitude under pressure
Job Duties
- responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
- prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company standards
- vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- collecting and disposing of trash
