Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • strong attention to detail
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • willingness to live and work aboard the ship for the duration of the contract

Job Qualifications

  • must be at least eighteen years of age
  • must be an American citizen or green card holder
  • willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • able to pass pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
  • able to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • able to perform emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship
  • able to maintain composure and positive attitude under pressure

Job Duties

  • responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
  • prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company standards
  • vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
  • carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • collecting and disposing of trash
