Job Requirements

  • Physically fit with ability to bend, stoop and lift
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Experience with industrial laundry and cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge and safe use of cleaning chemicals
  • Flexibility to work different shifts
  • Good attendance and punctuality
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if driving required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience advantageous
  • Ability to use industrial laundry and cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good physical stamina and fitness
  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to follow instructions and hotel protocols

Job Duties

  • Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
  • Sign out and sign in all keys at the start and end of shift
  • Collect assigned cart and supplies from laundry area
  • Avoid making excessive noise in guest areas
  • Clean check-out rooms first unless there is a special request
  • Report Do Not Disturb rooms to supervisor for approval
  • Change sheets in every room daily unless otherwise specified
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and return cart to linen room at shift end
  • Carry out reasonable requests by management
  • Be flexible with work schedule
  • Wear proper and clean uniform including name tag
  • Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and changes
  • Understand guest comments and contribute to guest service goals
  • Handle duties according to hotel policies and standards
  • Know and act on emergency procedures
  • Report unusual occurrences to manager
  • Assist fellow associates to improve hotel operations
  • Perform all other assigned duties
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if applicable
